Raquel Sánchez-Mejía

I am an Organizational Psychologist currently serving as a Regional HR Analyst for Latin America at Daikin Industries Ltd and recognized as one of the Top 8 HR Influencers in Peru 2024 (Changemakers category). I was also a finalist for the "Order of Merit of Women Award," the highest accolade bestowed upon women by the Peruvian state. I graduated from the National University of San Marcos in Peru and enhanced my expertise through a Laspau short-term academic residency at Harvard University and MIT, focusing on leadership, innovation, and research competencies. I further enriched my academic background by taking economics courses at the National University of Colombia and Master-level courses at the University of Bologna, Italy, and by serving as a teaching assistant in both the Faculties of Psychology and Economics at my alma mater. My international experience extends beyond academia. I have taken courses on Chinese culture at the Institute of International Relations of the University of Chile and studied East Asian economies, innovation, and business culture through the Korea Foundation. I was one of the Global Winners of the NASA International Space Apps Challenge 2020 and currently co-lead the organization of NASA Space Apps in Lima, Peru. I am fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, and have basic knowledge of Chinese, Quechua, Bahasa Indonesia, and French.
